Lux produced the 2023 Western Australian of the Year Awards with Celebrate WA at Crown Perth on Friday 2 July.
The Western Australian of the Year Awards celebrate exceptional Western Australians making extraordinary contributions in key areas such as arts and culture; the Aboriginal community; positive social, scientific and economic impact; sport and the WA community as a whole.

Entertainment included the Ten Tenors, with a late night party set by Daran Reid and his band
Hancock Prospecting’s Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, was announced as the 2023 Western Australian of the Year at a spectacular gala dinner celebrating the best and brightest of WA. Recognised for her outstanding contribution to the state and national economy, Mrs Rinehart was also awarded the 2023 Business Award.
