Lux Events revolutionised summer entertainment in the Perth CBD with the Lotterywest Summer Nights festival. Building on the success of The Light Within, the two-night showcase produced by Lux Events in 2023, Summer Nights expanded to an eight-night program that turned Elizabeth Quay into the heart of Perth’s summer celebrations. With an incredible lineup of local talent, immersive performances and large-scale entertainment, the festival delivered an unforgettable summer experience that captured the energy and vibrancy of Perth’s iconic warm nights.
Elizabeth Quay became Perth’s ultimate summer hub from 11 – 18 January. Lux Events designed and implemented a 230sqm floating LED stage, featuring 360-degree visuals, three elevation levels, allowing for a dynamic show from all vantage points. Add to this an exciting mix of live music, performances from WAAPA, dance, circus acts, DJ sets, and outdoor movies, all performed on this one-of-a-kind floating platform. Each night concluded with a custom curated light show and fireworks display. The festival was designed to highlight to celebrate the best of what Perth has to offer.
This event showcased Lux Events' full-service event capabilities, from show curation and creative programming, to production management and large-scale execution. Collaborating with key stakeholders and our in-house industry experts, we ensured a seamless experience for thousands of attendees across the eight night festival.
The production and technical management of Lotterywest Summer Nights was a monumental feat, seamlessly integrating state-of-the-art staging, lighting, and special effects to deliver a spectacular audience experience.
The event was powered by a team of 50+ staff and contractors, ensuring flawless execution across eight nights. With 130+ lighting fixtures, pyrotechnic effects including flame towers, sparkler displays, and a pyro guitar, along with 30 fireworks positions, 2600 firework shots per night. The event was a technical masterpiece, bringing together innovation, precision, and high-impact entertainment, transforming Elizabeth Quay into Perth’s ultimate summer stage.
Lotterywest Summer Nights reinforced Perth’s title as the City of Light, proving that this city is home to world-class talent.
